Hello!

I'm Chantelle!

Let's talk counselling before anything else!

I am a counsellor who approaches therapy from a humanistic and existential lens, and all this means is that I believe that the therapy room is the place to be yourself, and that if you wanted to explore life's complex questions of meaning, freedom, and responsibility, that I will join you on this journey of discovery. I help individuals confront life’s fundamental questions, supporting them in finding clarity and purpose, especially in the face of uncertainty and challenging life experiences.

WHO CAN I HELP?

  • Individuals dealing with past or ongoing trauma seeking a trauma-informed, compassionate approach.

  • Clients with Autism, ADHD or other neurodivergent conditions.

  • Individuals exploring meaning, identity, freedom and responsibility and seeking deeper self-awareness or personal growth.

  • Managing intense emotions or interpersonal difficulties.

  • Life transition guidance (career, relationship or personal)

  • Building resilience, self-awareness and critical thinking.

  • Support in finding purpose and fulfilment.

  • Clients seeking practical guidance for problem-solving and goal achievement.

My Story

My goal is to offer a safe, compassionate space where you can pause, reflect, and begin to move toward what matters most to you.

At Conscious Recovery, I integrate approaches that are solution-focused, trauma-informed, and person-centered. This means I don’t see you as a diagnosis or a problem to fix - I see you as a whole person with strengths, wisdom, and potential. Together, we explore what’s working, identify what’s getting in the way, and develop practical steps to create change that lasts.

My practice draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and existential psychotherapy, weaving together skill-building with deeper reflection on meaning, values, and identity. Whether you’re learning to regulate emotions, set boundaries, rebuild self-trust, or rediscover your direction, I’ll meet you where you are, without judgment or pressure.

Outside of counselling, I also work as an academic both teaching psychology and researching counselling techniques, interventions and frameworks, helping shape the next generation of mental health professionals and exploring how recovery-oriented, humanistic practice can better support real lives and stories.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief:

We are all humans in progress, capable of healing, growth, and change when met with empathy, understanding, and the right kind of support.

If you’re ready to begin your own process of conscious recovery, I’d be honoured to walk beside you.
